We at The Retirement Solution take a great deal of pride in helping our community. In 2017, we contributed our time and resources to USO, Habitat for Humanity, Relay For Life of Redmond, and the American Financial Education Alliance.
We’re excited to announce our most recent volunteer affiliation. In February, we aligned with a non-profit named SOFA, The Society of Financial Awareness, whose mission is to provide free, on-site financial education to local businesses and their employees, church groups, and professional associations and their members. The purpose is to educate, inform, and inspire employees and members with the tools and strategies necessary to instill knowledge and confidence in their financial future. These workshops encourage financial education and discussion in the areas of retirement preparedness, tax strategies, benefits integration, and other financial topics.
During these educational events, we will deliver sound, informative and helpful information that might just finally provide employees or members with the financial motivation they deserve to set them on a path to financial freedom. For businesses, this education can be a valuable part of their Retirement Plan’s compliance obligations under ERISA 404(c).
You might ask, “What’s in it for us?” Take a look around America. Our schools do not provide financial literacy as a requirement or core curriculum. Our mounting debt in student loans, credit cards, and auto loans continues to increase. We will embrace a gratitude in “giving back” to people who need our program and content. We’ll have an opportunity to possibly, on a first-hand basis, step-up and be available for the many Americans who have no idea where to go, or who to see for their financial needs. The experience of being part of a much needed “movement” bringing into the light help and financial assistance by providing to our attendees the answers to their needs and solutions for the financial issues is something that motivates and drives our team.
